Yes you have to have Morecome and Wise there are so many magic sketches.

I believe he did most of his own cunning stunts. A true - all round - professional, say I.
As are/were the others posted above. No exceptions, IMO.

Yes he did all his own stunts, not only in some mothers do ave em, but also in Barnum and Phantom, including riding a chandelier that comes crashing to the ground!! He is also a darling man, when I worked in Paddington we had a little girl in St Marys Hospital who was seriously ill, she had lost weight, was yellow and her hair was falling out. I was on the platforms and this guy came over, fell over his own feet and said I gotta find Mellisa!! I need Melissa!!
It was frank spencer... not micheal crawford, frank spencer! When he had seen the little girl he came back, fell over the wheelchair ramp, saw a train out, walked in to a post and then met 3 old dears and became Micheal. He stood in the middle of the station and sang.. totally spur of the moment, then smiled, hugged everyone in a 50 feet radius and said i had fun today, thank you. and left.

Lovely story of a lovely guy, Puff. I caught a glimpse of him filming a scene in Uxbridge, and was surprised at the fact that he was NOT 6' 6" tall !!! But a true star can show their true height - as I guess he did in your station that time.

Like I have said elsewhere - but without the double enténdre - "It's not the size of the claim that matters - it's the way that you action it." He was - and still is, I suspect - a man of action.

And as for the Michael Caine classic....it has stood me in good stead, driving a taxi at stupid o'clock on club nights, and playing the 'diamond geezer' cockerney to the hilt up here in Auld Scotia.

I have also been coerced into utterances from 'Lock, Stock & 2 Smoking Barrels'.....etc.....

                              .....mostly by "ladies" !!!!

Being a cabbie, though, I'll leave my scruples in the boot - and do anything for a tip !!!

Another little known fact about Michael Crawford - when he took up singing seriously, his neck size increased by a full inch and a half due to the muscles used in singing correctly.

Back to the thread, a few of mine:

                                Dick Emery

                                Laurel and Hardy

Still current, but I believe could be classed within the same class of talent as 'the old school' Rowan Atkinson.

Please can someone confirm for me - have I just found a major downside of doing away with our landline? Is this thread full of video links I can't see with a dongle?
