  • A Good Little 'Earner'??

I had to go into town yesterday (11 miles away) to chase up a new bank card as mine runs out this month. We (my OH and I) took my 3yr old girly with us as a treat.

Deciding to stop off at the pub for lunch we sat outside near the river (all fenced off and safe of course) and let her have a run around ... BIG mistake!! She was wearing her new shiny Peppa Pig wellies and found a deep muddy puddle under a bridge in the beer garden. Now Peppa Pig loves jumping in muddy puddles, and so does my daughter. 2 minutes later she was soaked from her armpits down :0.

I hadn't brought a change of clothes with us ... so we had to find a clothes shop and buy a whole new outfit!

Long story short ~ our pub lunch ended up costing me £40+ more than it should have done

    Oh the joy of kids!!
They'll spend it for you without even knowingly doing so.

As for the pub well, how dare they have a muddy puddle!!!

Lol, been there, even have a video. Theres a park behind my house, little missy soon realised that grandad wasnt prepaired to waddle in the puddle to get her to leave the park ( stood me for about 10 mins ) .. and then decided when i did, to sit down just before i got to her.

Cute overload -gosh, is she 3 already!
Do you know what…. I have often felt like jumping into the puddles but I cannot get peppa pig wellies to fit me and at my age I would probably get carted off to the funny farm -not to mention endangering spectators with the overflow!
Aw! I think we should jump into puddles forever and learn to not give a damn every now and again.

We took my now 14 year old daughter for a lovely walk on the North Yorks Moors, not far from our home. We being me, o/h and our then 4 year old Rhodiesian Ridgeback dog Luna. Daughter was about 2.
Nothing would have it but Our Babby walked the dog, remembering this is a laid back woofer who couldn't be bothered to bark and hated water. Hubby had hold of the leash handle in case of livestock and I had his arm. Babby was "walking" her by holding the middle of the leash.

Loopy Lu sees a pheasant and WHOOHOO party time! She makes a drive for the bloody thing causing me, Mr Callie and Our Babby to go hurtling along in a forward motion from 0-60 in less time than it took Richard Hammond in his rocket car!! Agreed said chase lasted all of 30 seconds ("It's a birdie,.. oh it's gone!") but that was enough time to be dragged through that much mud we looked like we we pot holers and have a 2 year old crying "Mammy I all wet!!"

It was like an episode of Last of the Summer Wine, hilarious but cost me a fortune in Pickering when we got there!!
