Dont know what the difference would be there?? It would still be the hard working punter who is hit in the pocket one way or another.

Yes Ascot is weird a bit like henley regatta when nobody actually watches the races just looks a all the oufits and drinks a lot .We had a little gazebo and had a little picnic in the car park behind the minibus - whereas lots of the others had the full catering service and sit down meals - also in the same field . I am sure they did not appreciate us blaring out music from the ipod.Could not see some of the race as some woman in front of us had half an ostritch on her head!

I have trying to explain to MOH that I was not ill through drink when I came home - but he wont believe me . but at £5.00 for a very small plastic cup of pimms I only had two drinks from 2pm onwards ! ( so it must have been the champagne we took I suppose)

By the way I made a donation to LB anyway even though bankable lost.
