To my mind, and this has no scientific basis, I believe that this kind of doomsday prediction only serves to crystallise our thinking as to how much we don't know beyond our planet's perimeter and yet we continue to hash up our own 'earthly housekeeping' such as dealing with poverty, famine, drought, earthquakes and generally bombing the hearts out of each other in many places.

We all suspect that life on life will never be eternal .... the sun will burn out one day ( at least that'll put the solar panel guys out of business ) and there must be untold other threats that are yet to come. I guess all we can do is observe and see what happens. It's as simple as that. If this planet X causes a massive eclipse or even impacts with earth, we are probably powerless to do anything about it.

However, the prediction of something happening before November 2017 is a tad worrying, have to say.

              Hi Snoopy

It's just a theory, expounded by the likes of Sitchin & Tellinger.

At least I've got a year or so of posting on LB to look forwar

I agree that the nibiru and doomsday stuff is total tat. Even the interpretations of the text could be way out, the best reading i see years ago, was that they are describing Venus , and that make much more sense, there is no mention of it in Sumerian text if i remember correctly, they refair to DUku ( special mound ), and my reading of there religion ( Sumerian ) was they believed the hills ( not space ) was were the gods were/lived. and they provided the special life in the water that came down from the mountains adn feed the plants etc.

My interest in planet X is to do with its orbital period and holes in the outer asteroid belt ( ort cloud ).
