  • Is it ok to rant in here?

I certainly hope so, cos I am steaming at the moment. Ours is one of those councils that have decided on 2 week collections, with recycling (well for the pitiful amount they will collect) on the alternate week.

New company has just taken over the contract, and I have just watched one of them, busy chatting on his mobile, empty the paper and card into the truck, allowing a lot of it to fall on the road.

Then they just continued on their merry way and left it there, unfortunately, one of the items was an envelope with my name and address on, so guess who would have gotten a hefty fine!

I made a point of picking it up in full view of the two guys not doing their job.

This is the second time in 2 collections that I have had to clear up after them, so I have just phoned a jobsworth at the council and lodged a complaint.

And breathe (thank you for allowing me to get that off my chest)

Well it must be ok cuase you've done it now, do you feel better?
You should go on line and lodge a complaint as well, you can keep your email then as proof. It's going worse, what a time to start 2 week collections, summer. Now you have more bins in your garden than plants. What next i wonder?

We actually started with the 2 week collections last year, I do Kleeneze and I can tell you, I refuse to deliver or collect catalogues on bin day during the summer cos I stinks so much.

I'm sick of jumping up and down in the bin to make all the rubbish fit (they won't empty it if the lid won't close) Trouble is, there is an awful lot of recyclable stuff that they won't take.

      Muppets!

Ditto. They have provided us with a recycle green tub that wont fit 2 days worth of recycleables in, they come once a week, and are dead funny if youre recycle bin is overflowing. I mean what the heck do we pay council tax for. My £162.55 a month doesnt seem to blumming go very far I can tell you.
Natwest Round 1 - Won £16,080 after 6 month battle
Abbey Round 1 - Won £5,580 after 5 month battle :okay:
Capital 1 Credit Card - Won £1230 in 2 months
Capital 1 Cred Card for Hubby - Won £1560 in 2 months
Abbey MBNA Credit Card - Won £2210 in 3 months
Halifax Credit Card - Won £1680 in 2 months

THE WAY FORWARD ON THESE CLAIMS, IS TO STAY POSITIVE, FOCUSED AND PATIENT, AND ALWAYS, ALWAYS BELIEVE ITS WORTH THE EFFORT, BECAUSE IT TRULY IS. WHY CHOOSE THE PATH OF LEAST RESISTANCE WHEN THERES NOTHING TO LEARN FROM THAT. THINK OF CLAIMING AS A PERSONAL CHALLENGE AND GIVE IT YOUR ALL.

        Now Gunning for
        Natwest round 2
        Abbey Round 2
        Yorkshire Bank round 1
        A further £6000 to come back from above 3 when I win.

Hey what you laughing at! it keeps me off street corners!

I'm with the Real Earners group, direct descendants from Gill, daughter of one of the original salesmen!

I haven't been on any holidays with them yet, I am yet to attain those dizzy heights, though I am working on it, so if anyone is interested in doing Kleenze, then feel free to give me a shout!
