I used to love watching the Red Arrows taking off from Finningley airfield when I was younger

Hi Kati,
When I was in the army I was attached one time to a helicopter unit of the Army Air Corps in Malaya ( 1959 to 1963 Malayan Emergency time) used to watch them practice something similar with helicoptors ..........their rotor blades only feet away from each other...... this was practice for dropping SAS forces in a very small clearing in the jungle............now that was a bit scary seeing how close the rotor blades were to each other.
I ony went on one of these drops and it scared the b******y daylights out of me
