  • Free energy!

With the prices of energy set to rise yet again, this idea might be of some use.

Obviously, one would not be able to build a pyramid quite as large as Khufu's in one's back garden (and, if one did, it would probably break planning laws) but something smaller might be possible if one's neighbours or local community helped.

There seems to be one little flaw in this scheme, though.

Do you know what it is?

I'll post about the flaw in a day or two.

Well make it snappy because I've started building one and I'd hate to put in all that effort to no avail..

I wanted to build one as well.

                Could be worse, I suppose.

As the Great Pyramid at Giza was built on a rocky outcrop with the entrance about 60 foot above ground level, where did the water supply come from? Metered local utility company?

Apparently, Khufu had a high wall built around the base of the pyramid to contain a moat.

As nobody seems to have guessed - or everyone has realised that the idea was utterly absurd from the start - I'll tell you...

To get water to split into hydrogen and oxygen, one needs electricity. Just letting the water lie on granite blocks will do precisely nothing.
