I'm having to write a CV for someone who has worked in the same job for years and so that is proving difficult as usually a CV is 2 pages of A4 and unless I change the FONT size then I am wondering what other tips you might suggest to make it longer or whether one side of A4 should be sufficient?

Re: Writing a CV when someone has only worked one job
Change the style of CV. Instead of focussing on the jobs someone has had, focus on the skills and experience they have. Then you can include things that they may have learned outside work. Many people forget that "home skills" are also "work skills" - this is quite common with women who have been primary carers. If you have managed a household budget and made it balance, then you can manage a petty cash budget or a small works budget. If you have managed two small children and an aging parent, you have awesome organisational skills! So focus on marketable skills rather than the number of jobs they have had.
Has there been any news about your friends disciplinary?

I was going to add that if the person had been TUPE'd over from company to company whether the dates of employment simply go from the date that they started work to the current date?"Family means that no one gets forgotten or left behind"

There is a school of thought that says a one-pager is best - the idea comes from the US, but the principle is the same: to highlight your skills rather than tell your life story.
