Blue Badge parking.

Went out shopping today and came across a new parking system re Blue Badges.

The criteria has changed (in some places)..now,as well as displaying the Blue Badge the car has to be tax exempt (disabled classification) otherwise the car park fee will apply.
First time I've seen it.

seen this alot across the whole country could stop people borrowing badges for free parking as its in the rules same as some car parks council and private charge blue badge holders and some charge but allow extra time for badge holders

Yep,,it will stop the 'blue badge borrowing' culture wales,,and rightly so.
Shows how often I use car parks huh? First time I've seen one today.

As the Blue Badge applies to the person with disability rather than to the motor-car, one must wonder if that rule is quite lawful.

It would seem to discriminate against a disabled person who chooses not to drive a vehicle, as well as against any disabled driver who is using a "courtesy car" whilst their Motability car is being serviced.
