This is an interesting and heartening tale for anyone with a "disabled" family member - possibly a more rewarding (and less expensive?) trip than Alton Towers...

I defy anyone to enjoy a theme park from the comfort of a wheelchair..I'm not so saintly that I would ever do it again in this country .The very thought of being crotch height to Mr Blobby Lardarse makes me feel sick to my stomach ..Mind you,I do a fabulous 'invisible'.......the amount of times supposed 'adults' crash into me when Im on my walker or completely ignore the fact I am there is unbelievable.

I am with Leclerc on this one....maybe a prison, summer camp, or targets at a shooting range

OR you could get them to play Chicken in Lithuania while you soak up the sun on a baltic beach (naturist, male, family, female ...how very civilised)

Well I wasn't going to say anything but when I suggested that we had an Adult Friendly day out thread, what I actually meant was a Childfree day out thread, because sometimes people just want to get away and not be bothered with having kids round them, much the same as there should be a site where you can find out where all the childfree pubs/restaurants are, but I didn't want to offend anyone.

dunno about the kids but theres a few adults I could willingly send your way hun

                      I forgot Thorpe Park!!
Wonderful place, funny as hell but take a change of clothes you will get WET!!

I went with the Ex, his brother and his brother's boyfriend and we all got soaked, so badly that i squelched in my shoes!! Jason (my sorrta brother in law) then stood in full veiw of everyone, stripped to his boxer shorts and changed clothes (not a painful sight in the slightest, a tanned Aussie surfer).
The funniest part was, we then went on a ride called RIPTIDE and he didnt work out we were just going to get wetter!!!
