      Re: Be careful folks

I just want to nut those people who forced as to write that on packets of nuts, those who issued the alert and those who recalled them.

If people who are allergic to nuts eat nuts because the packet doesn't warn them of the contents then they are too stupid to be allowed to live :tinysmile_hmm_t2:

You would be amazed at some foods that do contain nuts.I learnt a long time ago to read the contents list of everything,I nearly got killed by a lemon meringue pie! (No,,my OH didn't try and suffocate me with it lol)
I know which nuts I'm allergic to,,but avoid all nuts.

Allergy UK appear to keep track of how quickly the major supermarkets inform the public of problems with their own-brand foods that could affect allergy patients.

Quickest off the mark is Morrisons, followed by Sainsburys and Waitrose, then Asda, and Tesco coming last. Morrisons' Free-From range has some very nice foods in it, especially their own-brand Free-From Carrot & Coriander Soup. Very nice indeed. The shortbread tastes like shortbread, even though it is made with rice flour.

McDonald's and coffee, this product may be hot ???

Now a packet of nuts that may contain nuts

Seems this no win no fee mentality is now firmly cemented into our everyday lives

To be fair, it seems perfectly reasonable to me. After all, if beef lasagne is actually horsemeat lasagne, imagine what might be in monkey nuts....

Then there's the brand of nut-based confectionery that goes by the name of Poppycock.

Did the makers even look at the etymology of "poppycock"? (link) msl:
