  • RIP my lovely Lou

RIP my lovely Lou, today I said goodbye to you
I'll never forget the times we had, but today I am feeling far too sad
I hope you know why I let you go, it was truly cause I love you so
I loved you from the day we met, to me you were far more than a pet
To have no greeting at the door will leave me heart broke that's for sure
My pain will lessen in time that's true but it would not have been the same for you
Goodbye me little sweetheart xxxxxxxxxx a kiss for every year we were together

          Re: RIP my lovely Lou

Di, I've only just read this for which I apologise. I am truly sorry at the loss of your beloved Lou. I can still cry when I think of having to have my first dog put to rest, and that was 12 years ago.

This may sound terrible, but I find it easier to cope with human suffering than animal suffering. Pets are truly one of the family and it is such a shame they don't share our life span. I am sure Lou would have understood you did what you did out of love.

Take care, and try to remember the good times and all the pleasure you gave her in your time together.

          xxx

I don't know the circumstances, Di - but I guess you had the decency to let Lou go when the time came. That means a lot in my book. No selfishness.

Bless you for that, good lady. She will bless you, too, I am sure.

                  Hi Di

I know how sad it is to loose a pet as we get so terribly attached but you did not want her to suffer and that was the kindest gesture you could have done IMHO so that she was not suffering.

                  God Bless
                  Tuttsi xxxx

My condolances Enaid. Obviously a very sad and difficult time for you. It sounds as though you did what was best for Lou, take comfort in that.

"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )

If it should be written from the pets percpective

If it should be that I grow frail and weak,
And pain should keep me from my sleep,
Then will you do what must be done,
For this, the last battle, can't be won.
You will be sad I understand,
But don't let grief then stay your hand,
For on this day, more than the rest,
Your love and friendship must stand the test.
We have had so many happy years,
You wouldn't want me to suffer so.
When the time comes, please, let me go.
Take me to where to my needs they'll tend,
Only, stay with me till the end
And hold me firm and speak to me,
Until my eyes no longer see.
I know in time you will agree,
It is a kindness you do to me.
Although my tail its last has waved,
From pain and suffering I have been saved.
Don't grieve that it must be you,
                              Who has to decide this thing to do;
We've been so close,we two, these years,
Don't let your heart hold any tears.
