  • Cameron and EU

Can i throw this one into the mix,
As we read on the news Cameron is negotiating Britains Eu payments hes telling us all he will not agree an increase and really wants a reduction in our payment the question is ,
If he refuses to pay any more and wants to pay less but as i read the rules state that an increase will be payable under EU law i wonder what the EU can do if we dont pay do they send the bailiffs to number ten who then force their way in pass the policemen at the door and levy goods including Camerons car and threaten his wife and children that they will break in next time as we read on here the police would assist the bailiff in case dave gets lairy.
Crazy as it may sound but this is what happens to others in Daves were all in it together big society

      talking of wales

who do you think pays for all the regeneration since they closed down the pitts

who do you think pays for the regeneration of social housing, job clubs, urban regeneration

its by a european grant, not the goverment

where do you think royal mail got its funding to bail out the pension fund deficit, europe, not the goverment

lets not forget set aside, though i am against that and the Common Agricultural Policy

if britain removed its self from the european union , all that would go for a start

that may be the case but it was agreed at the conception of the EU, that the wealthy members would pay more to support the infrastructure of young democracies. That goes for germany, france etc

The idea of the EU was to promote harmony and free trade and to stop any form of isolationism and nationalism which would result in another world war. AND IT HAS WORKED, NO WORLD WAR

the fall of the iron curtain has put a strain on the contributions made by the member states, but remember, these former eastern block countries had nothng

when i was stationed in germany, i regular (unofficial) went into east germany and it was like stepping back in time, bullet holes in the walls from the second world war

we had a responsability to support these countries and to stop millitary regimes taking over and destable world security

the other "rich" member states do not complain about their contributions, only the tory party. if its good enough for 26 member states, its good enough for britain

not forgetting 70 % of our trade is done through the EU as well

if we do pull out of europe, we would be in a worse position then we are in now.

and who do you think osbourn is borrowing his money from, the ECB thats who

smoke screen and mirrors and political spin is what is comming from the tory party, reality is totally different

                Re: Cameron and EU

in your sinario, europe would not purchase our goods, who would we sell them to, thats more job losses, more unemployment benefit, much more paying out trying to support our own population then we pay into the EU

who would we borrow money from to support our economy, the yanks, they are in recession themself

the whole idea of little britain and the empire belong well and truly in the past, we all need to live together in peace

look what isolationism gave us, forget hitler for the moment, more recent history would be the balkan states such as serbia

it has worked for nearly 50 years so far, what is so different now????

                  Re: Cameron and EU

Why would europe not buy from us they buy plenty from countries not in the EU i think the evidence for the argument about trade stopping needs evidence ,
THe eu for to long has been a gravy train for many labour and conservatives mainly if we could all be shown a full set of accounts to show where the money goes we can make a more informed judgement until then the for and against sides will carry on arguing

                    Re: Cameron and EU

its called a free market, people buy and sell where the customers are, you cant force someone to buy from you

it is the european trade agreements that have kept the tiger economies in check so europe can maintaing its standards of living

the only way to reform europe is by treaties, that would mean all member states get behind one goal and agenda

cameron may huff and puff on europe, but in reality, hell would freeze over before he withdrew from europe

why do you think the british public have never been given a referendum or never been put on a political parties election manifesto, and why cameron allways comes back from europe no better than when he left

                    its all posturing

                      Re: Cameron and EU

                      • By leaving the EU we save over £45m a day plus £60bn a year due to EU trade barriers, business regulation, waste, fraud,
administration costs and the destruction of our fishing industry.

                      • According to Open Europe EU business regulations cost over £20bn a year. Abolish those determined not essential by a
                      commission appointed by Parliament.

                      • Financial services yield £61bn in tax revenues or 12% of the UK total. Exclude the City from EU controls.

                      • UK national debt will exceed £1.4 trillion by the end of this Parliament by which time the Govt's cuts will not even equal our EU contributions. Public spending is increasing and the Coalition’s cuts do not scratch the surface of the deficit. We must cut down Government if we are to return to a sound economy.

                      • EU Quangos cost us £60bn each year.

                      Screw Europe.

the problem is for every statistic that is thrown against europe, a statistic for the benefit of europe can be thrown back

instead of all this negative spin that is constant from the tory party or Neuro-Linguistic Programming,

is it not about time we had an honest debate for and against europe that is not led by politicians, and put all the facts on the table, not the selected policies used for the purpose of sensational journalistic licence

just give us all the TRUE FACTS

                              Re: Cameron and EU

The ultimate objective is the dissolution of every European nation state. Each nation will be broken up into little euro-fiefdoms, each with its own petty parliament (they prefer to call them 'Regional Assemblies'), answerable to Brussels. The map of this 'New Europe' was released in the late 1970's.

In Britain, the new regions (skeleton 'regional offices' are already up and running and have been for some years), correspond pretty much to the Dark Age kingdoms of Mercia, Wessex, and so on. Noticed how many administrative boundries (Police, Public Health etcetera), are starting to match?

                              Cameron subscribes to this.

There's another thing to think about too. The lesson of history is clear - a polyglot empire such as this can only be held together by force.
