  • Felt I had to share this one

A Cop on a horse stops a little girl on her bike and asks "did Santa get you that?" "Yep" replies the little girl. "well tell him to put a reflector on it next year" He then proceeded to fine her £5.
The little girl then looked up at the officer and said "that's a nice horse you have there, did Santa bring you that?" The Cop chuckles and replies "why yes he did" "well" said the little girl
"next year tell Santa the D*ck goes under the horse not on top of it"

I've heard that one before, but it always makes me laugh.

One incident involving a police horse and a high-ranking police officer I shall always remember is when I was a rookie constable in Central London.

At the station I was based at, we had a Mounted Branch detachment. Every Monday morning, the Divisional Commander would arrive and go out on patrol on a horse. On one particular Monday morning, he went out on patrol accompanied by a Mounted Branch Sergeant. On their return, I opened the gates at the rear of the police station to let them in and saluted the DC who, in returning the salute, fell off his horse. I helped the DC to his feet. The Mounted Branch Sergeant was laughing so much, he nearly fell off his horse! Word got around the station of the DC's fall from grace like wildfire. Even the Station Superintendent and Chief Superintendent thought it was hilarious.
Life is a journey on which we all travel, sometimes together, but never alone.
