  • Share my thoughts....

As you all know i'm quite new to the site, but have really taken to it! Mrs. B keeps looking over my shoulder to check if it's a dating site as i'm always on here! I have used the wealth of information you good people have provided to my advantage, and hopefully my current situation will gain from the Beagles' input as well. Made a few comments on other people's posts, hopefully with some help...
A high percentage of posts relate to issues with creditors, debts, baliffs, utilities etc and people have used I.T. to ask questions.

How many people are out there in the world that are getting bullied by corporates, or creditors etc that still have no access to the internet? How many people cannot use a facillity such as the beagles because of dissability or learning difficulties?

    It's a scary thought....

    Re: Share my thoughts....

Hi Brummie and thank you so, so much for yo're kind words, I'd like to bet that the majority of us on here have the same experience with our other halves checking that we're not on dating sites etc, it certainly is addictive here.

I have to agree with you there must be thousands of people out there without access to the internet who cannot gain from sites like this, what saddens me is that when you're say watching something on tv and they say 'more information on www.', so what about those without computer access?

      Re: Share my thoughts....

Glad you're enjoying being here, and helping out, Brummie. Yeah, that is a point. These are the people that might at least benefit from more 'educational' TV consumer programmes. I saw Anne Robinson 'trashing' the guy from Wonga on Watchdog the other night, followed by bunch of well-dodgy car dealers in Brentford getting wound up. It occurred to me that the purpose of Watchdog seems to be primarily to entertain us, whilst alerting us to the occasional scam. I don't think anybody who has been a victim of Wonga really learned much about how to deal with them - or with dodgy car dealers.

A bit like Jermey Kyle perhaps - I don't see what anybody learns, so it's just entertainmnent. It doesn't help people in dysfunctional relationships much, if at all, IMHO. But perhaps there is a kind of therapeutic value in watching these progs.

Thanks Inca....can see youv'e had a rough day and hope it gets better!

Bill.....i had to chuckle with the jeremy kyle bit...
A trashing by Anne Robinson has probably worked in his favour. He can now post on his c.v. that he hit national t.v. The whole question with these "pay-day" companies is that they can sudo-legally carry out their disgusting buisiness because they have demand. The demand will always be there because people will always experience hardship. Take away the source and the problem will go back to the back-street lenders. They have been around since currency was invented....

LOL - I can never spel Jermey's name rite !!!

"Pseudo-Legality" - I think that neatly describes a lot of what is now going on - and as you say, it's a burgeoning industry, along with DCA's, bailiffs, Civil Loss recovery, etc. - because of the state of our economy. Turn the economy round, and they'll go back out into the deeper waters where the sharks belong. We need people with a bit of honesty and integrity running the country, first, though. If you know a good source of hen's teeth and rocking-horse manure, do let us know - that's the only place we'll find a decent politician, I reckon !!!

Thank you for your feedback and compliments Brummie xx

The site is totally dependent on people getting help, learning, then sticking around and sharing.

Thanks for joining and sticking around :beagle:

For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Thanks Cel, i will try to stick around as much as possible, but at times DO feel out of my depth.....at the end of the day i am a "simple peasant" that decided to speak up.

Now then.... as for my original post....

information for the"masses" and help for those that cannot access it on their own....."

Bill,.. maybe me and thee can get on to Anne's "Tiswas" and make our point?"

Anybody remember Tiswas? Sally James with "those" boots?

                    I digress....
