This is quite entertaining for 30 minutes.

Turns out I am actually somewhere between Ghandi and Nelson Mandella. So why is everyone always calling me an awkward little sod?

Half way on a line between Thatcher and Ghandi without thinking deeply about the answers!

          Re: Political Compass

Well, I got a piccie of Ghandi, Obama and Stalin - but I think that was just the random sales pitch illustration for the certificate that they wanted me to buy. Being mean, as well as grumpy, I didn't buy one, so I don't know my exact result.

However, I seem to be 3 clicks down and 5 clicks back in the Libertarian Left (green) quadrant of the graph. My nearest neighbour in the 'examples' graph (further down) is Ghandi, at 3 clicks down and 3.5 clicks back. So, I guess I'm a bit left of Ghandi. I have a slightly better wardrobe than his - I like to think. But a distinctly sour outlook in comparison, it appears. I'll settle for that.

Despite the possible family resemblance, I seem to be a comfortable distance from Robert Mugabe, too - which is a relief.

Ahhhhhh, Obama, that makes so much more sense than Norman Wisdom.

No I never went for the certificate either. I already have one of those under Sct 21A of the Mental Health Act

Just realised - it was the Dalai Lama :llama:, not Ghandi. Slightly better wardrobe - but a nasty spitting habit, I believe. It's all those dodgy roll-ups, I'm sure.

Indeed - we wouldn't want to appear over-qualified, would we ?

                  Your political compass

                  Economic Left/Right: 3.75
                  Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 4.51

Ahhhhh just had another good look, I think it means I'm somewhere between Hitler and Thatcher, hmmmm not a bad place to be eh !

"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )
