I lost my daughter, as in I went left and she went right. She was gone for no more than 3 mins, but I was sitting on the floor, head in hands crying my eyes out thinking I was the worst mam in the world! How these women are interviewed after a tradgey I do not know! I would be in the mental hospital with a cabbage on my head, smoking a carrot screaming WOBBLE!

OMG how difficult is this family tree turning out to be? WHY did Dad have to be Irish? Do you know how many John Jack and Jack John's there are in the west of Ireland?!?
Don't knock having Irish blood in your veins, Puff. A good friend of mine is from Eire - and he's a clairvoyant. Very nice bloke and terrific sense of humour.

Oh I'm just having a rant at the old fart!
I knew him as Bobby and it wasn't till I was getting married and they asked me his name, and he said John James I said you what?!
I have also discovered, my Granny (who I was told was Nellie Flynn) is actually Bridget! Where did Nellie come from?! Oh and my aunty Ruby... her name is Rebecca!!! ONLY in Ireland!!

We were thinking of naming no 2 son Flynn in her honor, but it didn't suit him!

A child snatched by the sea cos the beepbeep parents thought it was ok,,they should be made to answer for negligence,,same as those 2 little ones in the hit and run,,where were the adults ?? Makes my blood boil!!!
Inca, it turns out the little ones were escorted by an elder child (some say 14, some say 16) and they were going to the shop at the end of the road. The elder girl used her body to protect the little one as it was a hit and run, and from what I'm told by my sister they were standing on the kerb when they got hit.. tragic tragic tragic, but on this one occasion not the parents fault.

              Re: Pet hates

I'm sure all of us on this forum and many many more parents as a matter of fact have that sixth sense when it comes to our children, I for one can see something bad is about to happen to my child before it does and I've always took steps to prevent my children from harming themselves.
Yet some people just don't have that ability, my ex-wife didn't have it and sometimes put my children in (what I considered) serious danger.
I used to work in the maintenance department of a hotel/timeshare complex and over the 4 years I worked there I had seen more than my fair share of parents neglecting their children, but the one incident that will stay with me until the day I die is when I was in my van going to one of the lodges and I spotted a father sitting his baby on a glass balcony.
Below that balcony was a 15 foot drop to a working water wheel (at this point my heart was in my mouth) I slowly drove up to him and quietly asked his to take the baby off the balcony.
The p#ss poor excuse of a father then started shouting at me for telling him what he should or shouldn't be doing, as soon as he lifted the baby off the balcony to turn round to have a more personal rant at me I gave him a piece of my mind "the words burn and fit was mentioned"
Later on that day I was called into the managers office and given a stern talking to for the way I spoke to the clown and was asked to apologise to him, I gave my version of what happened and asked the manager for him to apologise to me.

No apologise where ever made and I got a formal warning "what ever"

Be careful with this one, we get very strange looks at times, our son can do 100m in less than 13s but he is still entitled to a blue badge due to severe mental impairment (autism). When it is required it is most certainly justified.

You become very thick skinned when there is autism in the family, we have four in the direct family, all high functioning but as they say "it is a life of extremes"

Right I have checked all your rants and I am surpsrised not see this one:-

People getting paid damn good money in a position of responsibility and/or authority who are clearly too bloody lazy to do it properly and responsibly.

My wife's son has just been diagnosed to have autistic ten-dances, what on earth does that mean? either he's autistic or he isn't
He scored a 6 on the test done at the doctors which I've been informed is border line, does that mean he's aspergers?

I'm doing the family tree too, I'm going to start a thread and we can all put our experiences, share ideas and help each other on there, that way we can keep this thread free for rants.

                            Here's mine for this morning....

Sky decided to phone me at 8.30 last night,
'hello Mrs B, just calling to check that your satisfied with our services, that your getting everything out of your package'
'Yes' says I 'although I do think your charges are extortionate considering we've been with your from the beginning, it would be nice if we would get the special offers you give to new customers'
'Oh sorry' says operator 'if you go into your mysky account, you'll see we do give you little incentives to stay, like at the moment we are giving free cinema tickets'
I said 'thank you but trying to get my old man to the flicks is like trying to get sh it out of a rocking horse, so no good to me, how about half price subscriptions'
He replied 'sorry can't do that, but have to tell you your monthly payment is going up from £88 month to £94 month in September'

I can't repeat what I said next, but suffice to say I'm investigating other suppliers, I phoned their customer retentions people, told them I'm not happy and they've offered me £10 month off for 6 months, at the moment I've found Virgin doing same package for £45 month for 6 months, then £93 month thereon, tied in for 18 months.

                            Still looking........
