  • Can I sue Asda?

I went into ASDA's the other day and bought myself a pair of men's sunglasses. Once getting back on to the street I put them on and suffered great humiliation with peoiple pointing and laughing and make rude comments about my sexuality.

Can I sue ASDA for the pain and distress caused. I believe it is a result of their false advertising.

I have attached a link with a picture to their display stand. I had bought the polka dot Disney Mini Mouse glasses.

Unfortunately, no. It is up to you to ensure the glasses are suitable for you before paying for them. If you still have the receipt, take them back and see if they will exchange them within their returns policy. You might want to point out that whoever merchandised the sunglasses needs re-training or needs to be discreetly told the difference between men's, women's and children's sunglasses.

Being Frank (Frances being one of my weekend alter ego's) - I doubt if you'll get owt more than a friendly Asda 'slapped @r$€' to console you, Mr Magrew. You see, there are plenty of men like myself who just luuuurve to take a walk on the wild side, sweetie !!! And it would be very non-PC for Asda to ignore the needs of the lady-boys among us.

Unfortunately, it seems that you are not of that persuasion, so it was nothing more than an innocent mistake. I make them in bars all the time - and have the black eyes to show for it. However, I DO like your sense of style, and I'm sure I can further your education. Do you ever visit the Blue Oyster Club ?

Do PM me, you lovely man, you.

Rearranging the letters of 'Retail Loss Prevention Limited' gives:

          "Sodomite villains' teleprinter."
          "Imperilled intolerant soviets."
          "So impotent driveller alienist."
          "Vile, ill-timed, stentorian poser."
          "Impotent, editorial snivellers."
          "Ill-omened initials to perverts."
          "Evil, ill-timed, stentorian poser."
          "Interpreted toilsome villains."
"I'm an idle or pottiest sniveller."
          "Torment deplores evil initials."

          ... and many more.

I think you need to up the dosage. You appear to be going into relapse.
