Re: Anyone planning on joining SKY?

Well I phoned Virgin to find out what happened with my engineer yesterday and there wasn't one booked! So I sat in all afternoon waiting for nothing grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

So I got her to check that the engineer booked for his house for tomorrow still stands, nope, nothing logged there either. FFS, good job that I phoned to check isn't it.

At this point I got really fed up, and told her that we were considering cancelling both contracts as the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. All she could do was give me the address for the complaints department.

I then told her that I have the direct number for Richard Branson's secretary and that I was in two minds whether to phone him or not to let him know what people/communication/service is like within one of his companies. That kind of threw her, (heeee heeee), I also told her that I would cc him in on the letter that was being sent anyway.

        Tiscali are crap

They threatened to take me to court for £32. I'd already cancelled it, sent a letter recorded delivery and got a signature, but they were insistent that I had to pay. I waited til right before they were submitting to court to send them a copy of the letter and signautre I had.

        They closed their file

I have to say that BT have been the best for me on their homehub anytime all winging bells package. Yeah I know wot you gonna say, but it is there line so any problems I only have to deal with them instead of a middleman ie tiscali, bulldog, carphonewarehouse whoever whoever.

Apparently AOL do/did a good package with FREE laptop. dunno if it's still on though and i never used AOL.

Oh and a fire and smoke signals for chatting to the neighbours

Re: Anyone planning on joining SKY?

                errrrrrrrrrrmmmmmmmmmmmmm nope

                power mad nutters msl:
"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )

Re: Anyone planning on joining SKY?

I was with NTL which is now Virgin media, and for the past 8 years I have phoned them on the annual renewal date and said I would be switching to Sky. Each time without fail the operator puts me through to another sales member, they offer me the package at half price for the next 12 months without fail. This time I thought I would get cheeky and asked about free evening and weekend calls as well. Hey presto they said yes, try it, it has worked every time.

                    Best wishes,
                    Hod...Liam..

Sorry mate we have just joined as of Wednesday when we had it installed Sky + downstairs and sky upstairs also. The person who recomended us also got £50 M&S vouchers. We were gonna have broadband but a quick call to pipex for MAC code and they agreed to half our monthly subscription to £9.99 per month also, so we are sticking with them for the time being.
