  • Who Should Be New England Manager

Well after that terrible display last night, the FA have sacked Steve McLaren, and Terry Venables has gone too (don't know if he was sacked or just went of his own accord). And by the way, I think that the FA Committee needs a bloody good shake up as well.

So now the debate begins, who is going to take over ????

Who do you wan't to see as Manager.

My bets on 'The special one' Jose Mourinhio

My Money is on Stuart Pearce.
He was never given the funding and backing at City to do well, and you only have to look at the results he is getting with the U21s to see his real potential

I reckon it'll be someone random, Like Shearer, or Big Sam (who should've got the job last time)

        Could be Jose though http://chrismoyles.net/soundvault/pa...e&id=1585&idP=

Well all i can say is, its a shame Beckham hasnt got managerial experience.

He was a fantastic captain for England, good leadership skills and a quality player with the ability to change the game around

Gerrard and Lampard are not world class unfortunately and Campbell is too old and slow

God knows where we go from here!

            I'll do it

I would get rid of the current team.

I would spend the rest of the domestic season watching players from clubs across the leagues.

I would then pick my squad, even if it included unknown division 3 players, I would pick the ones with the talent and the passion. Hell if A N Other from Accy Stanley is good enough, then so be it! I wouldn't restrict my search to Premiership players.

I would make them play together as a team (and a consistant team, not swapping and changing all the time) at least once a week.

I would organise friendly matches between my national squad and various domestic teams as training.

I would instill in them the pride and passion of playing for your country, making sure that they knew it was a priviledge to be able to represent their nation.

And then in 3 years time, when we are ready for the World Cup, we should have a proper gelled together team, with the will/hunger/desire to go out there and play their hearts out for their nation.

with the instability that has been evident in recent years regarding the England team.
It has got to be someone who has England running through their vein's.
Some with, not only a passion for football but they have to have a passion for ENGLAND.
I believe in my heart that the only man that could move England forward and bring back success that we demand, is Stuart Pearce.

He did it as a player and is doing it as U21 Coach. IMHO he is the only choice available.

So I'm with you Pkea.......Stuart Pearce for ENGLAND....ENGLAND.....ENGLAND

Errrr and whats wrong with Jose then Sol.

He's a great manager (proven), he's passionate about the game (deffo), granted he's not English, but hey if we are playing crap at least we'd have someone georgeous to feast our eye's on  . I think he'd do a great job as manager.

But I have to agree PK and Phoenix - Stuart Pearce would be an excellent choice as well.

Re: Who Should Be New England Manager

I wont deny jose is a good manager, but its easy to buy success, hes arrogant, pompous and stuck up, in addition we need a manager who is emotionally available and not just sat on the side lines smoldering, which leads me onto Mr Pearce, i dont reckon he`s good enough granted he may be passionate but he`s had one failed stint at Man City granted he`s part of (or was) the under 21 set set up, we need a manager who is english and proven......hmmm who could that be!!

didn't take them long to put England v Croatia on you-tube.

I was actually referring to Delta's post 'binoculars soccer'
