    I dont think my wife likes me very much, when I had a heart attack she wrote for an ambulance.

    A sad loss - he was one of the good guys. The Old Guard.

    From The Independent:-
    Much of his humour in recent years related to age and death and he said more than once that he planned to have on inscribed on his gravestone the words, "Quiet, isn't it?

      I agree Bill he didn't have to swear to get a laugh ..........was watching an old interview with him last night,
      He said he wanted on his headstone Fank Carson .......Born.....................Died??????
      The Rest in Peace.................So Now maybe we can.

      Good man and very funny..................I used to play the clubs in my younger days and appeared in Caberet with him a couple of times as a fill in between his two spots...and met him personally .........he was as funny off stage as he was on. A real sad loss
