  • Space Shuttle Landing Today 7/11 approx 6pm

    For anyone interested The Space shuttle is due to land later today

    The space shuttle Discovery and the STS-120 astronauts due back to Earth after a busy and successful mission. With the Harmony module delivered to the International Space Station and the P6 truss and solar arrays relocated and deployed, the crew is set to end the mission back where it started at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Landing is set for 6:01 p.m. UK TIme

    Blimey i didnt even know it had gone up lol
    Weirdly i was only thinking just now about the one that exploded on re-entry 5 yrs ago (we were actually in florida when it launched)
    I dont i'd better watch, i would jinx it!!! lol

        What amazes me is that Nasa can set a time for the shuttle to land,
        taking into account orbits, weather, temperature, wind drift, gravity etc,
        and that they bring the shuttle down bang on time, to the minute.

        Yet we cant even get trains to run on time, that are stuck on rails
