I wonder how many people across the UK got this same letter. How much of our money was wasted sending these?

just watch it they may decide to add a late payment penalty. IMO send them cheque for ten pence

Your lucky the penalty is normally £100 , maybe they were doing a special offer that day.

No, only the total number of invoices sent out in that month.

My o/h received a penalty notice for £100 addressed to his deceased client s (the client died last year). All his tax affairs are up to date.

So they knew he was deceased as they clearly had that on the penalty notice his namexxxxxx deceased so, why would they be sending out stupid penalty notices for a dead person.

The Inland Revenue - should start to get their act together.
