  • A Neighbour/Dog Pooh Question!

My house fronts onto a field/ pasture, which is owned by an old lady who lives elsewhere. In front of the field/pasture there is a track which provides access to my house.

My neighbours dog often deposits its poop on the side of the track; grass verge. And my neighbour comes along with a spade 2-3 times a week and tosses the dog pooh over the fence into the field/pasture.

Apart from the obvious hygiene problem (dog pooh), I am fed up with this, because when I take my dog out I always carry doggy poop bags; I take the poop home and deposit it in a bin.

Deer do go into the field/pasture but Deer pooh is hardly the same as the canine variety.

Any advice on what to do about this annoying problem?

I don't want to enter into a war with the neighbour about this matter, but it really is not nice

If you get on with your neighbour then why not discuss it over a cuppa and try to some kind of resolution.
If you don't get on with them, then you can report them as its illegal to let your dog leave its mess and the owner can be fined.

If you have a Home Bargains neaar you, you could do what we did. They sell little plastic bones full of pooh bags with a few top up rolls for about £1.00. We bought one for us to clip on the dog lead and gave one to our neighbour saying we thought they might find it handy as we did.
