Re: Im dizzy already lol
Yeh saw that on Digg.
It made me feel actually quite sick. I just cannot comprehend being on a structure that high.
One slip and it's a looooooong way down! :rip2:
My acrophobia is quite rational. I only fear heights where there is a chance (however slight) of falling and the result would be injury or death!
I would be acrophobic on a tall building or structure especially a slender one, I dislike aeroplanes (but I do fly frequently), I fear cliff edges. I would be comfortable on a mountain or large hill top.
I think it all stems from when I had to repair a wiring loom running along a steel roof beam 90feet above a warehouse floor. I was on the top of a timber pole ladder. Both the ladder and the beam flexed quite a few inches whilst I climbed and worked :tinysmile_cry_t: There was no intervening support within my line of sight - it was if I were suspended in mid air with the beam in front of me. I froze and it took an hour to get me down. They were out to get me!! But now it's too late!!

Re: Im dizzy already lol
Cheers PF I enjoyed watching that.
I have always loved climbing and thinking back on my childhood have done some bloody stupid things or put myself in some dangerous situations. I have a respect for heights and not a fear as such.
Knowing I was clipped in on a safety rope would go some way to "letting" me get most of the way up that tower, however, I think my underpants may start to put on weight at the point he started to climb the red light beacon for aircraft.
I would love to do a parachute jump but am not sure I would be able to actually make the leap from the aircraft. Once out and the chute had opened though I am sure I would love it.Any opinions I give are my own. Any advice I give is without liability. If you are unsure, please seek qualified legal advice.

But heights still scare me a bit. It's part of the thrill.
I couldn't do what the guy in the video did though.
