100 days of the new Government

So here we are 100 days of Cameron and Clegg being in charge, how do you think they have done so far ?

Personally I am pretty peed off with some of their suggested cutbacks, they have taken a major chunk from the Dept of Business Innovation and Skills (Vince Cables Dept) and because of that we could lose our largest customer and our business will suffer, we are having now to do a major telesales drive to try to get more customers to cover the potential loss.
I really think that cutting back their global advertising is not the best thing they can do as it brings in major revenue to this country.
They would be better off cutting back on other unnecessary spending.

So thats my feelings, anyone else ?

I remain reserved as I am still not convinced it will work lets see what governance they bring to statute then will be in a better position to judge.

One thing I will say though is I am s*** scared as to what may come with regards to disability and benefits. It is all very well getting more into employment but if the jobs are not there only today in my local paper the jobs pages have reduced from an average of 25 to just 3.

As for the disabled more needs to be done to educate employers on the benefits of disabled employees as to often they are at the bottom of employers list of prospective employees.

I have witnessed this first hand even had one employer tell me straight not to waste his time and sent me packing without an interview this is a serious problem that needs addressing urgently.

Well I am in totally agreement re disability and benefits, imo it will only be the most vunerable and uneducated on the benefit system that will suffer most. The ones they should really be hitting are the ones who think they can beat the system and more often that not do so.
The talk of taking away bus passes for pensioners would limit motability for a lot of people of pensionable age, having lost most of our local shops and businesses and having to travel for either often leaves them no other choice but public transport. I also think a lot of pensioners would still be using their own cars because of this, many who should not be driving in reallity and I thought the big thing these days is to get cars down to a minimum. This then rather defeats the object of that reasoning.
The latest proposal to be raked up is to stop benefits to drug and alcohol addicted people if they refuse therapy. Well they may say no to treatment and have their monry stopped but it wont stop them getting what they need and I wonder how they will manage to get what they need :tinysmile_aha_t: thats not hard to figure out even for me.

I think that despite all of their rhetoric, they are now demonstrating that UK politics is not about Right Wing, Left Wing and "That lot in the middle" they are showing that it's all a matter of shades of grey.

The incumbent politicians are in many cases the same ones who fell foul of the expenses scandal during the last year.

As mentioned above, the fact that they are making cuts against the most vulnerable simply demonstrates that the whole "call me dave" man on the streets approach is a smokescreen. The people at the lower end of the social scale(s) will continue to be left behind whilst the people at the top will simply create new opportunities to move further ahead
