The Footy thread: 2009/10 season

We got there and survived the barren spell of the off season.
For those who don't know, my team is Cambridge United.
We sacked a manager who was the manager of the Year for 2008/09 season, the new manager resigned in 9 days and the chairmen of the board and a director resigned.
Boardroom wise, we are in chaos. I reckon play offs again

Well the season starts this weekend and of course the Premiership starts next weekend, so I officially become a footie widow from now till next May.
Hey ho me thinks Chelsea to win the title this season.

Can someone close this thread please? The season is officially over. We lost 2:0 to 10 man Barrow and the ref has been stretchered off to specsavers for blatant penalty missing offences.

Great start for Leicester City, they were 1-0 down at half time, missed a penalty, Then a team change which turned the match around and they won 2-1. Shame that Cambridge didn't do as well, fancy losing 2-0 to a village pub side.

That is so, so untrue Liam, there's only one team in the league that cheats and thats deffo Man U and their flaming manager 'bullies' the refs.

It's Carling Cup and Blue Square Premier League football(still no idea if anyone is getting the TV rights )
Steven Gerrard is out of the England squad for tomorrow with a groin problem so might be a doubt for the weekend game.
