Hi guys, I have Swine flu as does my 2 year old and Hubby, Im just looking for sympathy really, as our families have taken to communicating via our letter box! So I'll just Boo Hoo here for awhile until my Tamiflu arrives!

Really sorry to hear that - any flu is horrible but when you all have it it must be really difficult. Hope you can get your tamiflu and let us all know how you get on.

I am just stocking up with zinc/echinacea and various tablets as recommended on the TV as people at my husbands office and local schools have cases as well.

Hi Lumi I hope you get better very soon. I have got three friends who have it too, all under 'house arrest' and feeling pretty poorly. One of them is Asthmatic (so am I, and my hubby has health problems) and my friend it is awful, so keeping my fingers crossed it doesn't arrive at this house.

Going Tesco in the morning and will stock up on more hand gels etc whilst there.

Hi guys,

Well, it started on Monday for Hubby and Little girl, both were mis diagnosed with an ear infection and chest infection and sent off with antibiotics, the Dr was of the opinion that the Swine Flu was being overstated.

Anyway yesterday I started feeling unwell, headaches, cough etc etc, and I thought I'd give it a day.

This morning I noticed my little ones temp hadnt really reduced and my OH was if anything feeling worse, and so was I. So I called the Dr and had a consultation over the phone and my Dr gave in finally admitting that the surgery was flooded with cases!

After ringing round half a dozen relatives (I mentioned swine flu and they became sheepish). My mother, God love her went to pick up my vouchers from the Dr and went to our Healthport Pandemic Station thing.

She had to take ID for all of us and herself, anyway we spoke through a crack in door, she said they were queuing for half an hour!

Got the Tamiflu now, thank godness, and Im watching Daisy like a hawk make sure she doeant get any worse she was in tears for 10mins this morning because her headached, anyway because shes 2, she has her medicine in Yogurt which she enjoys although I'll be running out of that soon.

What I will say is if you have the slightest symptoms be vigilant and ring up and get advice. I believe theres alot of mis diagnosing going on.

Thanks for you thoughts am trying to stay cheerful and any ideas on occupying a 2 year old under house arrest gratefully recieved, nothing to energetic though please !

I'm taking precautions too, I've just told Les there's no nookie till the pandemic is over, they reckon its about 5 years so thats what I call a result.
