A friend of mine, Paul Meadows, is doing a sponsored hike in aid of Sparks, the children's medical research charity.
The Fat Hikers Walking Club - About The Fat Hikers
The Fat Hikers are undertaking Wainwrights Coast To Coast walk. This walk is a total of 192 miles and starts on the west coast at St Bees and crosses the Lakelands, Yorkshire Dales, Yorkshire Moors and finishing at Robin Hoods Bay on the east coast.
They start walking on Monday 17th August 2009 and should be at the finish line on the 28th, 12 days hard walking.
