Why aren't spam posts deleted? Surely moderators have that power. Instead, we see old threads being resurrected by a spam posting, and sometimes this causes confusion.

If members spot a spam post they can report it to mods by clicking on the triangle which is located in the bottom line of the post.
Trouble is there are so many, after a time one just ignores them!

Thanks. I report whenever I see one.

The spam reporting function is a bit clunky on this version of vBulletin but it still relies on someone acting on it. I trawl the forum daily for spam, at least when I'm not away. A deleted spam post will still trigger an email notification when it's posted and can cause confusion. There's no way round it I'm afraid.

I always report spam, if the community was empowered to remove spam, it would help 'functionality'.
It's like the Welcome thread, removing that would help with 'functionality', new members posting their issue twice.
Or keep the Welcome thread, but warn new members with a pop up 'Do not post your issue on this thread etc'.
