  • Has a newspaper ever sued anyone?

Do newspapers ever sue anyone, or is it only ever the other way round?

Years ago the FT sued a paper that tried to use pink newsprint for a financial section. I don't remember the outcome.
Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.

Litigants in Person should download and read the Judiciary's handbook for litigants in person: https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/..._in_Person.pdf

      I can't recall a case.
Why? What have you said or done?!!
"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )

It is possible, for example, if you provide a story or information which you know is not true to the newspaper, it has some consequences for the newspaper or others after being investigated, they may consider taking 'legal action'.
