The Sport Daily Newspaper announced today that it intends to go Porn Free from next month. The racy red-top has decided to remove all stories and photographs of a blatantly sexual nature from its pages. In fact, anything the least bit saucy will be dropped, including advertising for adult chat lines that would only usually appear in top-shelf magazines.
The outrageous British tabloid newspaper, which was re-launched last year, has always prided itself on its position at the seamier end of the market. The Star Daily, a paper pitched at a similar audience, is considered by many as positively highbrow by comparison.
Sport Daily Editors Barry McIlheney and James Brown admit they are taking a bit of a risk with the Porn Free idea, but say that they hope to be able to 'finesse' the changes in, so that readers will accept them.
The new Sport Daily will be available from Monday 2nd March as a text message.
