  • I bin finking guys

Ok tell me to shut the wotsit up if you want, but I bin a finking.

Basically we have a lot of members on this site, and when you go into the LampPost or even the Stags Pants, its the same faces all the time, and there are multiple conversations going on, not always with a plot, but we do generally keep a conversation going. And I was wondering if maybe this looked a little bit daunting to the other members, and that maybe they are too scared to jump in and join us.

Just trying to think if there is any way that we can encourage them to come in here, let off a bit of steam, have bit of fun etc, basically just do what we do.

I hope you all understand what I mean, I know over t'road I was wary of going into my own thread sometimes, and just wondered what we can do to make it not scary, if you get my drift.

It might be an idea to get new members to chat first of all before they start posting??
That way we know who they are and we can advise who can help??
As well as welcome them and get them involved.....
I know what you mean....over the road it was like boot camp......lol

Great idea Delta.....you are a star!!

I just don't want it to become a bit cliquey and put them off joining in, there were times that I wasn't sure about posting in Fendy's thread over there for fear of butting in (no offence Fendy), I am glad that you can see what I was trying to say.

I was like that as well.....
Could they put something like......welcome email together for new members and a few hello's from all of us.....with a quick bit about who we are and what we have done so far??
Might help newbies feel part of the gang....lol
We could put about fendy, enaid, you, lugger, saphire, Nattie, etc. being a great laugh as well as all helping with one anothers claims?????????

Was you really scared about joining Fendys thread, that has really shocked me!
I know sometimes with the typing and that, posts went out of order and didn't fall into place but that can't be helped.
I think sometimes people just like to read what others put and enjoy it in their own little way, well that's ok too.
I do know what you mean though some are stressed enough with the claims, so to put them at ease and let them know it is a social forum as well. I f it's ok with the site owners of course.

            exactly enaid....
Possibly an email from the sites owners....with a bit from some of the members about not only claiming....but that we all help support each other and also chat about random stuff to lighten the mood.....lol

Thank you for starting this Delta, surely its that willingness to include new people that will bring new faces to the site and also your threads.

My own point of view: I tried to join in Fendy's thread but tbh, I can't keep up, which I think is my loss rather than the threads, lol, I do find myself scanning it to get the latest plot twists though.

I would also ask you all to keep an eye in the "welcome" threads as surely your warm invitation to join you at the "Post" would be taken up.

                Thx again

                BB

Must admit my typing finger gets knackered, but I love the banter!
I'm not into chat mistie, but will admit I haven't given it a proper go, I join most things really that are not sreious, life is too short on laughs these days and any chance to have a good laugh suits me.

THE WAY FORWARD ON THESE CLAIMS, IS TO STAY POSITIVE, FOCUSED AND PATIENT, AND ALWAYS, ALWAYS BELIEVE ITS WORTH THE EFFORT, BECAUSE IT TRULY IS. WHY CHOOSE THE PATH OF LEAST RESISTANCE WHEN THERES NOTHING TO LEARN FROM THAT. THINK OF CLAIMING AS A PERSONAL CHALLENGE AND GIVE IT YOUR ALL.

Fendy, I am not saying that you are scary hun, I was just saying that it can be a little intimidating trying to join in on what looks like a private party sometimes, especially if you don't know anyone that is in there, if you understand what I mean?
