Re: Legal Beagles Fantasy Football League 2008
Manchester United duo Gary Neville and John O'Shea will miss the game with Tottenham after picking up injuries in the midweek win over Portsmouth. The defending champions have struggled with injuries in defence since Christmas, but the loss of the experienced pair has been softened by the return of Wes Brown and Rafael.
Stoke City will be without James Beattie for the trip to Fulham this weekend as the striker has a thigh strain. Beattie has scored six goals since arriving in January and should return to training on Monday. However, centre-back Danny Higginbotham will miss the rest of the season with a slipped disc.
Tottenham are still waiting for news about the fitness of centre-back Michael Dawson. The defender injured his ankle against Newcastle, having started the game as a late replacement for Ledley King, and the swelling is so bad that he's not yet had a scan to determine whether it's a fracture or ligament damage.
Controversial striker Amr Zaki could make his return for Wigan this weekend. The Egyptian, who manager Steve Bruce described as the most unprofessional player he'd ever worked with, returned from international duty late complaining about a hamstring injury, but has trained well this week and started the season with seven goals in eight games.
