On 11 June 2025, the director of Cambrian Associates Limited (Cambrian) appointed Dean Watson and Paul Stanley of Begbies Traynor as Joint Administrators.
Cambrian (firm reference number (FRN) 158976) has entered administration. The firm advised on and arranged deals in mortgage contracts and investments, including defined benefit pension transfers.Cambrian remains subject to supervisory oversight and our rules. We are working closely with the Joint Administrators. Dean Watson and Paul Stanley of Begbies Traynor are officers of the court and are authorised to act as licensed insolvency practitioners by the Insolvency Practitioners Association (IPA) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), respectively.The Joint Administrators sold Cambrian’s regulated business and assets (including client book) to the authorised and regulated entity, HCI Financial Services Limited (FRN 197342) (HCI) on 11 June 2025.HCI will be writing to clients soon to explain what this means for them.Clients should not be affected by the administration of Cambrian.
