Re: Data protection Subject access code of practice
What happens if you send a SAR with your £10 fee and they never respond at all, you go to the ICO, the ICO obviously contacts them because you find out your data has been deleted from their records,
presumably so you can't question how it was being processed?
This was for a non-financial matter (not a bank, etc.) but I never had my £10 returned either, so basically I paid them to destroy my data.
Is that lawful? :noidea:

Re: Data protection Subject access code of practice
They wrote to me saying they'd written to them but that was months ago. I never heard back from the ICO after I contacted them with regards to the deletion of my records, which was over 2 months ago. :noidea:Originally posted by charitynjw View PostWhat have the ICO said to you?

Re: Data protection Subject access code of practice
I'd get back to the ICO - the other party should either send you the details, or give good reason why they can't.
If they reckon it's been shredded or whatever, there should be a certificate of destruction.
