first of all, thank you for letting me post on the forum
ill be brief
at work our occupational health has been taken over by a company called atos.
health care on the cheap.
these people do medicals for the dept work and pensions for dla claims also
stay with me on this
my knee has been getting worse for the last six months.
doctor sent me to consultant and had mri scan etc.
having surgery on the 21/12/2009
as i could no longer do delieveries, royal mail aranged for an assesmant at work by atos.
had medical, told them under consultant and told them to contact hospital.
three weeks later i get called into the office as atos had sent a report to my manager.
it stated in black and white
I WAS EXAGERATING MY CONDITION AND RECOMEND I GO BACK TO FULL TIME DUTIES.
THEY NEVER DID CONTACT THE HOSPITAL.
I WAS THREATEND WITH THE CONDUCT CODE ETC.
AFTER DOING MY OWN INVESTIGATION INTO ATOS.
atos staff are the macdonalds of the health care profession, they are not doctors etc, health care assistants.
they put all the info they have on you into a computer program called LIMA
that stands for
LOGIC INVESTIGATION MEDICAL ASSESMENT.
its the same program they use for the dwp and getting people off of dla.
it gets better
its copywrighted by the dwp and atos use it under licence
i want to issue a claim against atos for the following reasons
1/ they are not qualified to give a medical diagnosis (computer program)
2/ they gave a false diagnosis with me for which i am having surgery now
3/ they released personal report to my employer with out my consent, no dpa signed giving them permission
4/ that report is slander and defamatory and false
5/ how do you price damages under the data protection act
