Re: npower...prepaid electric...
The first port of call is a licensed debt counsellor, ideally, a charity that does not charge fees, followed by CAB and, definitely, OFGEM, the energy industry regulator. The debt counsellor can help your friend get their debts sorted out, CAB can help with benefits and consumer advice, and OFGEM can kick Npower's arses for behaving like playground bullies.Originally posted by vimtoman View PostPLEASE.......PLEASE.......HELP.......hi, my friend is with npower, she owes just over £1000....is a prepayment meter, they agreed to take £4.00 per week off her, but she recieved a letter today saying they have changed their minds and now want £15.00 a week, so for her just to get £10.00 of electric she will have to put in £25.00 a week.....can they do this, just change thier minds when they want....and is there anything that can be done to make this cheaper....she is on job seeker's....benefits......and is feeling suicidal as she cant see away out......thanks in advance...Life is a journey on which we all travel, sometimes together, but never alone.
