hi just wondered if you could help, I currently have car finance through gmac, due to losing my job I am now unable to make anymore payments, I have paid over 50% and have tried to vt however due to the car having a rattle on the timing chain they are refusing to take the car and now saying if I cant afford payments then I should voluntary surrender, is this correct, thank you

Hello,
They can't refuse a VT because there is a possibility something is wrong with the car. The right to Vt is set in law and you have a right to VT regardless, they are misleading you and that is wrong.

Hi, Recently approved by finance co. to VT.
Followed all procedures/templates etc on this forum.
Have now been summoned to appear in court in relation to Excess mileage charges. Have no option now but to seek legal advice.
Is there any proven cases known to anyone that gives me any hope against a finance company?
