  • Car finance

My partner purchased a car on finance 3 days ago. He was told by the salesman witnessed by myself that he can return the car within 14 days if he changes his mind. He has since changed his mind tried to return the car today to be told he can't return it. Where does he stand. It's his first car on fiance so we are completely clueless.

      Re: Car finance

People have more than a life than just being on this forum, and the fact that we give away our free time to assist others I think you should be more appreciative.

Perhaps someone else may still want to help you but with that attitude I don't think I'll bother helping you.

Read the contract that was signed. What does that say about it?

Wow, youve gotta bear with people as most have lives away from the forum,

I would say that the contract is the key piece of info you need to look at, it should set out the rights to cancel the contract and return the goods. It does depend on the circumstances when the car was purchased, so we would need further info from you before anyone could advise, was this a distance sale for example? how did you come to find the dealer? what was said about returning the car?
