  • Met parking services - McDonald's Newport fine

    Hi,

I have received a parking fine for overtaking my 90 minute limit at a McDonald's in Newport south Wales. I'll be honest, I over stayed by some time and I didn't see any signs stating a time limit.

I was a paying customer and being in a different city on my own (waiting for the girlfriend on a course) I had no where to go as the weather was really bad.

Can anyone offer advice over how to appeal this. I'm concerned an appeal may lose my 14 days to get the fine discounted if I do need to pay it.

    Any help is appreciated!

An initial appeal will normally not forfeit the discount but nor will it win. Popla is where the odds are good but not guaranteed. This does forfeit the discount.

OK thank you, I'm still undecided what to do. Tempted to appeal it as I don't think the fine is fair in all honesty l.

      Many thanks!
