Parking ticket hospital car laek

Please help . Mum had heart attack . Went to hospital , car park said full but kept letting people in. We're no spaces at all. After 40 mins I park where it was not a designated space bit was not blocking anyone , left. Note in car window to say which ward I was going to. Came back to fine saying I had parked in considerately !! Admit not in proper space but not inconsiderately . Wrote to ask lenience and they w refused. Any advice would be appreciated
