I sent an item using transglobal express/ dpd they lost the item, I had to chase them to find this out!!! The item was insured for £500 and I have supplied them with a receipt for £497 the cost price of the item. They have offered me £100 and the £17.94 shipping! Can this be right?? Is there anything I can do?

You insured the item through tranglobal or through a third party? If you have a question about the voluntary termination process, please read this guide first, as it should have all the answers you need. Please do not hijack another person's thread as I will not respond to you

Re: Transglobal loses item!!!
this is the correct one yes -> http://www.transglobalexpress.co.uk/...sit-liability/
So assuming you have followed he correct claims procedure as above? If that is all they are offering and you took out their insurance, then no they cannot give you £100 they should be giving you the full price of the parcel which according to you is £497.
Have they given any reason why they are only offering £100 plus shipping? If you have a question about the voluntary termination process, please read this guide first, as it should have all the answers you need. Please do not hijack another person's thread as I will not respond to you
