Gumtree car scam

Please can someone help?! I have read on here that this has been happening for years!! Saw a car on gumtree..directed us to eBay..used eBay live chat to reassure us that by paying by bank transfer we were covered by the eBay protection scheme..paid £2800.. Told to wait 48 hrs as car was being shipped..never arrived..called eBay .. Realised we were scammed! Called Barclays fraud and Pleaded with Metro Bank to block the account and Metro said as it was a Saturday call back Monday!! Barclays won't refund as we were a victim of s scam and not fraud!! Contacted action fraud,c.a.g,trading standards,fca,Essex police , gumtree ,eBay who have not even had the decency to email back!! Just need advice if anyone can help!! Thanks in advance!
