Well if they read the small print they would have realised the charges for all those solicitors letters and that the interest would have been compounded, its the last time they will trust an APR.

Betting it will be resolved to protect the Germans and the Euro the Greeks are just a pain to both the people of Greece do not matter in this at all

Yeah I do feel sorry for the ordinary people on the street of Greece. However from what I can understand and have been told up to recently they have had the' honorary tax system' (or what ever the right term for it is). This essentially means that an ordinary company can just tell the tax man how much tax they will pay without any question of figures or any checks :jaw:

I understand also that Greeks can also go on pension much sooner than folk in this country.

If you are used to certain 'luxury' then no wonder they are resisting change.

We have had several flotilla holidays in the North island, the Islanders HATE the Germans and when we last went were in the middle of changing from Drachma to the Euro, the ordinary islander's did not want it.
