Hi,
I am new here so apologies if this is the wrong place to post.
So today I checked my credit report and was astounded to see Hoist Finance, (a company I have no agreement with), have been marking late payments on my credit report for months on end.
As I tend to keep old paperwork, I managed to established who the original debt was with.
My last communication with this credit card company was a payment made October 2015, so I have actually just passed the time period for this debt to become statue barred.
I will now have to wait until Hoist write to me again so I can get my account reference, as their letters go straight in the bin.
I will send a template letter mentioning I am not accepting liability for the debt, however it is statue barred.
What I want to know is, can I dispute all the negatives they have created on my credit report? Months upon months they’ve put late payment markers on there, but I had no agreement with them! And apparently I have gone over my credit limit too, how, when I had none with them.
I hope someone can guide me Thank you in advance.
