  • New house builder issues

Hello anyone out there with experience of dealing with new house builders who have given us a poor access road. Initially not wide enough. They have added extra metre but as it has not been matched to original piece looks like a pathway which other households are now using even though it will be a private road.

    Minimum Road Widths

Single carriageway with two lanes (one in either direction): 5.5m to 7.3m, depending on the traffic and number of access points on the road (like driveways).
If it's a bus route the minimum is 6m (residential street) or 6.75m or 6.9m for other routes depending on the bus.

Sorry, didn't notice the date and this has probably been dealt with.
