Emails have been sent to a member of the public from "Robert D Olivo," falsely claiming that he works for Bates Solicitors. The emails provide general information about the offering of legal services at Bates Solicitors.
The emails have been sent from the email address solicitorbertolivo@instructor.net. Although the emails falsely claim that Mr Olivo works for "Bates Solicitors, London, England", they provide a correspondence address in Cumbernauld, Scotland. The emails also provide a contact telephone number of 07508684793.
The SRA does not authorise or regulate any individual named "Robert D Olivo" (or "Robert Olivo"). Therefore, any business or transactions through "Robert D Olivo" using the contact details listed above, are not undertaken by a solicitor's practice or an individual authorised or regulated by the SRA.

Bates Solicitors Limited is a genuine firm authorised and regulated by the SRA that uses the trading name of Bates Solicitors. The genuine head office for Bates Solicitors Limited is at 43 Essex Street, London, WC2R 3JF and its genuine telephone number is 020 7936 2930.
The genuine firm has confirmed that it is not connected to the emails referred to above and that it does not employ anyone called "Robert D Olivo".
