    Donegal is part of the republic and many laws are different but I think this may be giving false hope to many for other reasons. Remember when Diana Mayhew won her case the headlines read more or less the same; ‘thousands of Store card to Credit card debts to be written off’ and similar sensational reports?
    I am aware of the principles of the Mayhew case but many others are still battling tooth and nail on this issue and simply quoting Mayhew is not always enough to fend them off.
