    Re: Speech: David Currie speaks about the devolved nations as a key focus for the CMA

    Dear Mr Coates Following reading the the article (https://www.gov.uk/government/news/t...ing-for-us-all) I became very interested in the commitments being proposed by yourselves.

    If I may I would like to ask a few questions as follows;

    1) What view does the CMA take of the terribly noncompetitive second charge loan market as it exists, especially in the flavour of "unregulated" ?

    2) What is or are your views on consumers being subject to erroneous/bias terms without any/or little regulatory support or advanced dispute resolution ?

    3) Where do you or would you draw the line on what you may or may not consider the point/s when consumers suffer the wrath of high street names in long term loans ?

    4) What is your view on existing current issues like the above & the damage that ensues in leaving/ignoring the problems caused ?

    5) What is your organisations view on a long term contract such as the above & its relevance to complying with new legislation ?

    6) As well as the FOS & regulator/s is it also your view that consumers should individually all have to go to the courts without cost effective professional representation & challenge the the institutions for a "fair & balanced" result ?

    I would/will be very interested in any comments you are able to make or any further direction you may suggest, thank you in advance.

    Yours sincerely

    Fred :tung:
